Our Mission

  • Support Survivors

We will create ongoing revenue for anti-trafficking agencies who are directly working with survivors.

  • Rentable Space

Our studio can be rented by the hour for photography and videography, and small events.

  • Pop-Up Shops

We will host regular events and pop up shops in our studio space to support our community, and build on our long-term goal of a thrift store.

  • Employ Survivors

One of the biggest gaps in services for survivors is stable employment. We will hire survivors for jobs that will help them market themselves in the workforce, and equip them with transferable skills for future career opportunities.

Meet our founders

Meet Sarah and Carmen, our co-founders and owners.

Sarah (right) is the executive director of Rescue Her, an anti-trafficking agency serving survivors across Dallas-Fort Worth. She has been with Rescue Her for 14 years, and in the role of executive director since 2020.

Sarah and her husband, Hadden, have three kids, and when she’s not working she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring unique restaurants around DFW, drinking a well-crafted cortado, or reading a good book.

Carmen (left) is a wedding photographer and owner of Loom & Light wedding photography. She has been documenting love stories since 2019, and loves capturing people’s candid moments and authentic emotions.

She and her husband, Brian, have two giant, lovable dogs and when she’s not working, she’s either reading, or planning their next trip to somewhere with good food and even better sunsets.

Together, Sarah and Carmen have a combined 25+ years of anti-trafficking work. They are experts in trauma-informed care, and know the many challenges survivors face in their recovery.

With Sarah’s expert knowledge as an executive director, and her keen eye for details (and all of the spreadsheets), and Carmen’s creativity, and business experience, these two women make the perfect team to start and run Honey & Vine.

Their dream is that Honey & Vine Studio will become a profitable, sustainable business who can provide ongoing revenue for anti-trafficking agencies, employ survivors, and expand into a thrift store that can employ even more survivors at every stage of their care.

It All Begins Here

Will you join us in our work to support survivors, and empower them with employment?
